So I'll start with our departure and my checklist...
First and foremost, JELLEYs for Hadlee just like I wore when I was little and went on vacations...CHECK.
Headphones for both kids for their videos...CHECK.
Our dear friend, TOM TOM...CHECK.
(Actually, our adventure with Tom Tom should get its very own post, but my husband would kill me. Let me just say that Tom Tom took us round AND round the Houston Toll to a tune of about $15 extra dollars. It was a HOOT! I had tears of laughter rolling down my face. My husband is the manly man and really has no need for a Tom Tom, but he loves electronic devises of all sorts!!! Even after our fiasco on the toll, he remains faithful to Tom Tom).
With all that being said, we made it to the BEACH. Hadlee had NO idea what to think and Walker was THRILLED...
Walker's "are we there yets?" had started before we were even out of Waco!!! He was so happy jumping over waves, chasing sea gulls, and digging in the sand...With all that being said, we made it to the BEACH. Hadlee had NO idea what to think and Walker was THRILLED...
Remember this is a Texas Beach...not your best, but for a four hour drive, it works just fine!
Walker & Daddy got right to work on this...
Pure Happiness...
I just can't resist, I feel this picture is post worthy AGAIN! I love my little Coppertone Baby walking on the beach...
"HEY...I love the beach!!!"

A Room with a View...
Can you say HOT TUB in the ROOM?!? I love Vacation Troy!
So boyish boy... playing in the rocks ~
'The Spot' hit the spot! This is a super fun restaurant on the Seawall. Troy and I used the phrase, "hey, we're on vacation" A LOT. If you zoom in on the massive amount of food (BAD food) on this table, you'll know what I mean!!!

Bet ya can't guess what we did after a day of travelling, frolicking on the beach and eating that HUGE greasy meal?!? Nighty night for sure!!!
I only wish I could keep that care free, not a worry in the world attitude I had on our vacation. It was good, real good! You really can see clearly when you are away...
Stay tuned for Day Two tomorrow night. We had very special guests on our second day! I just know you are on the edge of your computer chair waiting! ha ha!!!

Looks like fun. Of course I have heard of Galveston, but not of Moody Gardens! I wonder how far it is from West monroe? We are about 5 hours from Houston if that helps. 5 from Dallas too.
Thanks for visiting my blog so often and can't wait to see the other pics. Melanie

I too have been caught on the toll traps in Houston. Just wish you could have exited and come on over to visit your favorite Oily City Gals. Miss you much! Great pics!
