Bubba Love

Now this is what I call sweeeeeeeeeet! Walker just had to make his baby sister a card (with glitter no doubt!)! If we continue on this same path, he will be a WONDERFUL husband some day!

I am blessed with sisters...wonderful, beautiful, sweet sisters. My mother has both sisters and brothers. Troy has an older sister. But my dad, he has one sister ~ who is younger (in fact, about the same age difference as Walker & Hadlee). Based on what I know about their relationship growing up, I know that my dad took care of his little sister like no other. For instance, saving his own money to buy her a dress in junior high! I think they had a very sweet relationship ~ and still do. I often imagine that Walker is to Haddie like my dad was to my aunt.

I am taken aback sometimes when I see Walker taking care of Hadlee. Just the other night at a party for Walker's friend at Chuck E. Cheese, I watched from afar as Haddie couldn't make it up the play area to the slide. Without any prompting, Walker was quick to come all the way back down and scoop her up until she was at the slide (over and over again he helped her). Of course it's not always like this, but it sure does melt my heart when it is...

I love my Walker Man & I love how he cares for his little sister. She's a lucky little girl to have a Bubba like this!

"Brother and sister, together as friends, ready to face whatever life sends. Joy and laughter or tears and strife, holding hands tightly as we dance through life."

Ponytails & Pwaying

Okay, so Haddie Girl & I came up with this new 'do' because it involved BOTH of her Dora scrunchies...we'll call it the Double Dora Do!

I thought it was adorable with this little backless number...

So here's another day, another ponytail...and more PWAYING! This little girl loves to pway (play!). In fact, this was our first official tea party (well, kinda, she's only two!). Here she is waiting on me for the festivities to begin...

Like really, Mommy, do we have to have the camera at our tea party?!?

"Suuuuugar" with yours?!?

Every little two year old girl needs this tea set, it plays music while you pour!!!

If you really aren't going to put that camera away, then let me get my feather
boa & strike a pose...

Then her babies woke up (she's like Angelina, she has LOTS of babies!!!)...

She does NOT care for this baby's shoes...

She put some of her babies right back to bed...

Because it was time to 'pway' with the Little People House...

Along comes Bubba, who ALWAYS has something going on...this time, that his little sister didn't have much money in her piggy bank...

So he gets a bag of HIS change and helps her fill her piggy bank...

Finally, we finished off the day by walking one of her sweet babies...

As you can tell this mommy (ME) is really enjoying the ponytails and pwaying!!!

Sleeping Beauty and her Prince

It's not ALL fun & games when the Hoodies are together (see previous post if you haven't already). There is some SWEEEEEET lovin', too!!!

Check out Sleeping Beauty at a Hoodie swim date..

Enter Prince Brady ~ ADORABLE little Hoodie...

These two are little lovers ~ in fact, Brady has received some high 5's from the Hoodie Men for his aggressive moves on Haddie Girl (but NOT from Haddie's Daddy!)!!!

How sweet is this?!?...

Nothing like a good love story...

You Go, Brady Boy!!! You melt our hearts!

When Hoodies are AWAY...

the other Hoodies will PLAY!!! Yes...when some neighborhoodies went on vacation, all of us other Hoodies had no problem watching their POOL all week...

No really, our good friends went on vacation for the week and invited us all to swim while they were gone. Who were we to turn them down?!? We had a wonderful time enjoying their pool...but in all honesty, wished they had really been there, too...

SOOOOOOOOOOO, in true Hoodie fashion...we had to play some pranks!!! I won't go into any detail or share most of our pics...but it was FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUnny!!!

I never in a million years would have dreamed that I would find such AMAZING and DEAR friends in my neighborhood ~ in fact, right in our two facing cul-de-sacs!!! Our hubbies love each other, our kids love each other and we love each other...it is just a blessing beyond belief. I have realized that this just doesn't happen everywhere so I thank the Good Lord for these friends. In fact, here are two of them that I don't know what I'd do without...

Love you girls!!!
"It really is a beautiful day in this neighborhood!"

A Lesson for Today

Always remember to stop and smell the flowers...

And pick some for your mommy, too...

Also always remember to be silly and have fun...

And pose for pictures when your mommy tells you to do so...

This message brought to you by Walker & Hadlee!

Have a GREAT day!

JUMP IN!!!

We have been swimming a lot this week with my niece and two of my nephews. I just love hanging out with this bunch! As you can see from the above collage, Hunter & Logan provided most of our entertainment (okay, so I did one hurky off the board, too!)!!!

Macy at age 18 and the boys both at 13 still call me (OR better yet, TEXT me) to hang out. I wouldn't trade those offers for ANYTHING!!!

Peace out!

Grandmother's 70th Birthday Party!!!

As I posted a few days ago, my mom turned 70 on July 18th! My family and I were thrilled to celebrate this day with our sweet mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend...

My family loves to celebrate birthdays...but of course turning 70 was extra special! We begged my mother to choose any place for her birthday dinner, but in her true fashion, she wanted to go where we always go because it is the kids' favorite place (and it's VERY easy on me with my two wild ones!)...

I happen to think my mom looks FABULOUS at SEVENTY!!!

Do ya think Miss Priss enjoyed the cake?!?

My mother and her sister-in-law, my Aunt Kitty (the two most special ladies in my life!)...

My favorite oldest boy with my favorite youngest boy...

I love these photos of Hadlee playing with my sisters...

Good times, good friends, and a wonderful reason to celebrate!
What would I EVER do without these three women?!?

I truly couldn't be more thankful for my sweet & loving mother...

I am BLESSED beyond words.
