Tumbling 101

Little Miss has often mentioned
that she wanted to take gymnastics...
especially after watching the summer
Olympics!  We told her she needed
to choose between dance and tumbling
since she's still so young and tires
easily.  It was such a tough decision,
but she chose to try out tumbling
with her sweet friend Ella Kate...
They certainly made adorable gymnasts!!!
Ella Kate's mommy and I could hardly
contain ourselves at their first lesson.
It was too funny (for us!)...
our sweet girls couldn't do much,
Hadlee wouldn't stop looking at me
through the window for a thumbs up
and everyone else in the class was
ready for the next Olympics!!!;(
Sweet Pea was trying so hard!!!
One of my precious senior girls just
happened to be Hadlee's teacher.
Hadlee attached herself to Miss Haley
and wouldn't let go!!!
After a month of gymnastics and some
uncertainty, both Ella Kate and Hadlee
decided they weren't too sure if this
is what they wanted to do.
Hadlee missed dance A LOT
and especially Mrs. Emily.  We missed
the structure of dance...plus
Miss Haley changed jobs!
SOOOOOOO now it's back to dance
and Miss Haley will be giving
Hadlee some private lessons here
and there!;)  We must learn to land
that cartwheel and round off!!!

Until then it's nice that we
have an indoor gym apparently...
And a little coach to supervise;)
Gotta get that split jump down!!!  ha!
Luckily, this guy already has some moves;)

Hadlee and Walker both had writing assignments
for school to write about a community helper.
Walker wrote about Dr. Graham.
Hadlee wrote about Haley!!!
I thought it was so sweet!  I read it
and showed it to my entire senior class:)

Last week it was back to tap and ballet...
and our little princess was so excited!
Mrs. Emily wasn't suprised at all
that Hadlee returned to dance.
She says Hadlee is a dancer at heart:)

"Above all else,
guard your heart,
for everything you do
flows from it."
Proverbs 4:23

Good for Hadlee for trying new things! Seems like she's much happier now that she's back at dance, though. :-)

I love the curlicues she drew when she wrote her name...so cute!
