Welcome Home, Superman!

We were so happy when all of
the paperwork finally went through,
the renovations to Lynna's were finished,
and also in-home nursing was set up
meaning...Travis could come home!!!
On June 26, 2012,
after four months in a coma and
six rehabilitation facilities/hospitals
all over Texas...it was time
for Travis to move home!!!
He had a small gathering wishing him
off at the nursing home and then
several of us waiting for him to arrive at home...
(literally threw this all together very last minute...then regretted
I had not invited more...but it turned out PERFECTLY!)
Superstar?
No...SUPERMAN!!!
I think he was totally surprised!!!
Check out that million dollar smile:)
Such a sweet FAN CLUB!!!!!!!!

Love never ends.
  Corinthians 13:7-8
Trav's days are difficult no doubt, but many
people who go through what all he has
do NOT have a homecoming such as this.
In Trav's own words,
"There are far worse circumstances,
trust me.  I've witnessed them across
scattered brain injury clinics in Texas."
Beyond grateful for our family and our friends...
specifically two of my best friends
who were such a part of this day.
Oh HaPPy Day,

Aunt Michelle, Logan and I celebrating the move
out of Sr. Care that day!!!!!  WAHOOOOO!;)
I have to share one more thing about this day...
we were literally praying our hearts
out for the nurses/aids that would be coming
to stay with Travis everyday.
Travis did not want
anyone to have to be with him.
We knew all too well that this aspect
would be the make it/break it
of being at home for him.  The
first person was set to arrive
at Lynna's house that afternoon.
I opened the front door to go
get something out of my car and
there stood this young girl.
I could not place her and in my mind
I was thinking, we didn't really
invite any of Trav's friends, did we?
The sweet, young girl looks
at me and says, "I'm from
Gurling Nursing. I start today."
My heart overflowed with
thanksgiving knowing that God
had TRULY just answered a prayer
for us.  Whether this girl would
be good or not, she was young
and pretty and I knew Travis would
have no problem with her!!!:)
We welcomed Holly with open
arms.  And guess what?  She's
completely and totally like family now.
Just as the morning aid is, too.
God answers prayers
big and small,
slowly and quickly,
 precisely and perfectly.
