Awards

During the fall, Hadlee noticed
that she was never getting to go
on stage for an Outstanding Progress
Award like some of her friends.
Walker was QUICK to inform
her that she should not want one
of those awards because they mean
you started out NOT good at something
and then got better.  He had never
received one nor did he want one of
those awards!  ;)  Silly boy!...
But needless to say, Hadlee
took this information from her
Big Brother to heart and made
it clear she no longer
wanted one of those awards!!!
Well, fast forward to the last week of
the school year and I receive a note
letting us know that Hadlee would
be receiving an Outstanding Progress
Award!!!!!!!!!!!  And it was to be
a surprise on the day before school
was out.  I had no idea how Hadlee
would take this...would she remember
Big Bro's words of wisdom;)?  ha!
I warned Walker and made it clear
to him that he was to cheer his
heart out for her and make it known
that this award was a huge,
positive deal!!!  Troy went to
see it all go down....
Hadlee was perfectly precious
and so proud!!!!!!!!!!!
Posing with her Principal,
Mr. Everett.....
Mrs. Decker told me that she
was trying to decide who would get
this last award and it just had to be
Hadlee.  Sweet Girl really couldn't read
when she started kindergarten and
was really only writing her name.
By the end of the year, she was taking
AR tests constantly (AMAZING her
mama with that!) AND she could pretty
much spell out and write anything!
Mrs. Decker really deserves an award
for her incredible teaching!!!
So proud of our girl!!!!!!
Just couldn't even try to be more proud of her:)

Ms. Swafford gave out class awards.
In fact, she had the students vote.
Walker received "Best Boy Athlete"
and "Fastest Boy Runner"!

You go, Stud Muffin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But better than that, he received
ribbons for All A's All Year
which is the Principal's Award and
a Citizenship Award.
That one means the most to
this mama!!!  May he always be nice.
TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Having two children in school
was quite an experience this year.
Just such a huge change...
I had not realized just how much
busier we would be.
But what a wonderful busy to be!!!
It was a fantastic year
in kindergarten and third grade:)
I will most of all always treasure
their "Star Student" awards
they both received separately in
the fall.  Those represent them
doing good things and being
nominated and chosen for it.

Troy and I are so blessed
and feel overwhelmingly proud
of Walker, Hadlee
and our little Huds, too!  ;)

A day will never go by that
we don't pray for our
sweet loves AND thank the
Good Lord above for them!!!

We always thank God,
the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
when we pray for you.
