I have a TON of pictures (like 145!) to go through and I am far too tired to do that right now. Tonight I just want to post pictures from my parents' wedding on August 30, 1958. It breaks my heart to think that my mother had lost both of her parents at this time in her life. My mom and dad had a simple, yet BEAUTIFUL wedding (as you will see in the photos). I tear up thinking that my mother didn't get to have a reception or a cake or her own dress or most of all her parents there...and then to think there was hardly anything out of limits when it came to the weddings of my sisters and me. Thankfully, my mother had a beautiful wedding cake today...just 50 years later.
Enjoy the photos ~ I think they are just amazing & beautiful in every way just like my parents are to me!
My Uncle Bill, my mother's brother, gave her away. Today my dad tried to give her back! HA!
So simple & elegant...just how a wedding should be!
And they lived happily ever after.
(Well, for the most part!). Party pics to come soon!!!
Here is a video that I made for my parents of their 50 years together. I put my heart and soul into this project (with help from my dear friend Karen, too!) and I am so proud of it! We showed it continuously during the party. It's 23 minutes long, so I doubt anyone will wish to see it...but just in case, here it is (be sure to turn off my blog's music)...

I love the pictures of your parents wedding. They are so beautiful! And your mom looks like a bride straight out of a magazine spread! Priceless (:
Glad your party was amazing!!
Those are the most amazing pictures, what a testimony to family and love. Beautiful!
The pictures are BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to see the pictures from the party! I know you know how to throw a GREAT party so I'm sure it was nothing less then perfect!!
Oh, I LOVE pictures like this. Your parents looked so happy and in love. Your mom was such a beautiful bride! Loved the video too. It was like watching a movie. You did a wonderful job.
What breathtaking pictures from your parents wedding 50 years ago. I love sentimental things, but I adore photos from years ago like these. You are such a thoughtful daughter and you and your sisters were sweet to honor your parents, their marriage, and what their relationship means to you with a special party! I got your tutu design and I will say that it's at the top of the list!!!! What a great idea! Seeing that your favorite vaca spot has had tragic devestation, you should plan your next vaca East bound and come visit us! With the good deals at the consignment sales and the beach close by......we'd have tons of fun!!!:)
