The ATF/Birthday Book Day

Walker was PUMPED when I picked him up from school yesterday...couldn't stop talking and telling me ALL about his day! I LOVED IT!!! First of all, the big news was that the ATF had been to visit his classroom with their bomb/gun sniffing BLACK LAB dog named Wednesday (of course made this crazy mommy think of Bridget's dog on The Girls Next Door!)! Here he is with his ATF sticker & his Wednesday trading card...

THEN when he went to the library with his class, the librarian called him up to check out HIS VERY OWN BIRTHDAY BOOK (parents can donate money to the library to have a book bought in their child's honor & then it has the student's name on the front cover for always...of course we participated!). He was so excited and he thought his book was THE BOMB!!!

Oh, I almost forgot...as soon as he got in the car, he handed me this sheet of paper...
Walker asks ALL THE TIME to invite over his new friends from kindergarten. I always tell him, "Sorry I don't have their phone numbers." Looks like Walker took matters into his own hands. He handed me this and told me we could now have Anthony over...Walker had asked Anthony to write down his phone number to bring home to me!!!
So busted!

Austin City Limits ~ Part TWO

Ever so often the Good Lord blesses you with a BEST FRIEND. Like a real true, tell anything to, not worry about anything with, knows everything about you and your family type of friend. I happen to think that friends like this don't come along too, too often. Let me say this though...the Good Lord has been GOOD to me. Because ya see, He gave me a friend like this...and I've known her my entire life. And for the icing on this DELCIOUS cake, he let us both get preggers at the same time (like almost literally!) and have our first babies together (nine days apart)!!! And as if that icing wasn't enough...He added a cherry...our children LOVE love LOVE each other. In fact, they are best friends (as much as two six year olds can be anyway!)!!! Add Haddie to the bunch, and it's just the sweetest thing!!!

We had a BLAST visiting our Kelli & Kate in Austin over the weekend!
Hadlee talked all week long about going to "Co Co's houooose" and "Kate Kate's houooose"!!!

Kelli & Kate took us to one of Mommy's fave places...Chuy's!

I can't help it...Walker & Kate are so adorable together!!! The rehearsal dinner video is going to be SOOOO long.

Austin City Limits ~ Part ONE

For those of you familiar with Austin City Limits, please forgive me...but I just so happen to think that MY version of Austin City Limits is THE BEST!!!

Over the weekend the kids and I went to Austin to first meet this BEAUTIFUL BOY...

Yes, this is my dear friend Sweet L and her new baby boy Sawyer! Remember I wrote about them last week. Yes, Sawyer isn't even two weeks old! He is PRECIOUS!!!
As is his beautiful big sister, Claire...

I didn't plan for much time at the Boone's house seeing as though they have a newborn of less than two weeks, a two year old AND a four year old. Beautiful Boy was I wrong!!! Sweet L has it going on as a Mommy to THREE!!! She looks fantastic and everything is going so smoothly! I was very impressed! Laura and Sam are ROCKIN' parents...and it was sooooooooo fun to see them and their PRECIOUS family!!!

I love you, Sweet L!!! Wish you would have let me take Sawyer...I reeeeeeally wanted him!

Next we were off to see Kelli & Kate. Another BLAST...pics & dets tomorrow!

Friday Night Lights

I have always loved a Friday night football game. I grew up going to every Midway football game...since I was no telling how old (I started kindergarten as my oldest sister started
college). Lynna was the MHS Homecoming Queen and Michelle was a cheerleader. My parents always had season tickets and it was just what we did. I also have some wonderful memories from Panther Stadium during my own years down on the sidelines! Now I teach at Midway & Walker is in kindergarten at a Midway school.

But ya know what, nothing tops the memories that I am making with my favorite little Midway kindergartener and my favorite little Midway cheerleader...














Even though my times at Midway were wonderful...
my only wish is that I had known
what I know now way back then!!!

(And Troy's only wish...that he could get suited up and be out on that field just one more time!!!)
