The Kindergarten/Demolition Derby

Today is Walker's SIXTH birthday PARTY...his actual birthday is on Wednesday! We are exciiiiiited about today. Walker was up at seven this morning, made his bed, got ready and starting asking to leave for his afternoon party! I think even Haddie Girl understands that we are going to a party for Bubba ~ and a JUMPING party no less!

Thursday night we went to meet Walker's kindergarten teacher ~ she is so sweet & beautiful! We are thrilled with her. I can't believe I forgot to take Walker's picture with her!!! Nevertheless, here's the big man on campus (or the playground)...

Little Miss was quite impressed with "Mr. Big"...

Then yesterday afternoon we were playing and Walker created a "Demolition Ball." Check it out in the picture hanging from the swing set (he used one of Daddy's bungee cords to make it). Walker was so proud and had many ideas for his creation...

He hooked it up, told me it was a 'demolition ball that destroys things' and moved over to hit the house with it. He was SO into this! I said, just trying to play along, "Is this going to destroy the house?". He stops dead in his tracks (or swing), turns around to me and says in a most annoyed tone..."MOM, it's JUST a BALL." HUUUUMMMMM...wonder if this is what age six shall bring?!?
