Dad Days ~ January/February

Out of all of the staff we've had for Dad,
Tereetha has to be THE BEST.
She cares deeply and we are so thankful for her.
She goes above and beyond.
We love her so much❤
Dad loves her, too!
Bringing the kids to the nursing
home is hard.  Quite honestly, the kids
don't really want to go.  It's different with
this disease.  I think it breaks their
hearts that Dad doesn't remember them
and they just don't know how to handle
the emotions of that.  I get it.
Mother's sweet family from Corsicana
are so wonderful about coming to see
Mom and Dad.  They love them so much
and we love them!!!!
It's funny because Thom, Troy
and Terry get the best responses from Dad.
I'll always think of Mary B
when I hear the song
"You are my Sunshine!"
THE LOOK;)
Poor Dad has had about three
big falls :(  He does not walk on his own,
but it's not for physical reasons.
He has forgotten how to walk.
It's so sad:(
He falls because sometimes he forgets
that he doesn't walk anymore
and he tries to get up:(((
We rush to the ER to be with him
every time.  It breaks our hearts.
He's always on my mind❤
Dad had an appointment for his
fractured shoulder and it was with
a doctor friend of ours.
We were so thankful for Doc's
kindness towards Dad.
You just never know what a person
suffering from Alzheimer's
like this is going to do outside
the confines of the nursing home.
The nursing home transports
Dad and of course Mom rides with them.
We had a successful outing!!!
