So we are driving the other afternoon and Walker sees a yellow cab. We do not live in a huge city by any means & we rarely ever see a taxi. Walker says, "Mom, are we in the city?" I say, "Well, kind of...we're near downtown." I think nothing of it. Then I notice Walker has the backseat window down and he is trying to maneuver his way around the seat belt to look UP out the window. I ask him what in the world he was doing..."I'm trying to find the tall skyscrapers." I need to tell him a little bit more about Waco.
Walker is ALL ABOUT writing words & drawing things these days. It really shocks Troy & me that he'll come home from being at school all day and want to write notes and words and such. All that to say, he goes through a lot of paper! Well, a couple of days ago, Walker fixed up a clipboard with paper on it where he had drawn columns. He asked me to chart how many times he could beat Chick Hicks on his, and I quote him, "challenging" CARS computer game. As I started recording the results, he quickly informed me that I was doing it wrong. So as to not upset him, I told him I'd just get another piece of paper. His response: "THAT'S FINE IF YOU WANT TO KILL TREES." I'm so glad he's going green...makes mommy very proud!
At his last soccer game, a kid hit Walker (I still have no idea why). I could see the spot on Walker's ear where he got hit. On the way home, we asked Walker if the kid used his fist or his hand to hit him on the ear. Walker says to us, "I don't know what he used. I can't see my ear. I can only see my ear when I am looking in the mirror." Good point, son.
Sometimes it's not the things he SAYS,
but the things he DOES.
For instance, putting his NFL underwear on Haddie Girl...
Or creating his own afterschool snack ~
two powdered donuts, one m&m, and three Laffy Taffies...
But my favorite Walkerisms, are ones like this...This is what I found on my car the other morning. There is no other better jumpstart in all of this world! My little boy love wrote this all by himself, stuck it on my car door all by himself, and made his mommy's day all by himself...Walker, someday when you are reading this, I want you to realize how much JOY you have brought and continue to bring to your Mommy's life. I just love your zest for life and all things and people in your life. Even your little quirks bring a smile to my face! You truly are my SUNSHINE, my one & only sunshine. Forever and honest.

Melt me little heart:) What an awesome note!! And the underwear on little sis is too funny:)
Love it! My fave Walkerism comes from the other day...."Miss Robin, I think you need to have one more kid so Haddie can have someone to play with because Landry is mine" haha! My response......"Sweet Walker, I think Mommy and Daddy need to have one more kid for Haddie to play with ALL the time!" He smiled:)
Okay, I'm here to tell you...this kid's got all the makings to be a charmer! I'm already planning a trip to TX in about 20 years so he can meet K & M!!!
He's gonna make his wife one proud woman someday! He has a heart of gold and the looks to go with it. What a precious boy he is. Always taking care of his baby sister as well. :)
That is the sweetest note I have ever seen!!!
What a sweetie!! He and Jillian need to get together after school. She's doing the same things. Cutie Pies!
