Let's go to "MaMastics"!

This post has been a long time coming...
so BEWARE ~ there are LOTS o' pictures!!!

I have taken way too many pictures
of Haddie Girl at gymnastics,
but it is just the CUTEST THING!
She gets SOOOOOO excited about going to
"maMASTICS"!!!
This is Hadlee's sweet teacher, Miss Brittney!
She is such a precious Baylor girl...
Hadlee LOVES it when people come to watch her.
She always asks who is coming when
we are on our way to the gym!!!
She is waving to her fans here..."TA DA" Hands.........
After class, the girls get stamps.
Hadlee is showing hers
off to Aunt Michelle, Grandmother & Macy...

WHO ME?!? I won the GOLD?!?

Well, if that's the case, then I'll strike a pose!

Warm Up Exercises before leaving for
'Mamastics. She has her Dora Ipod with her!!!

Hello LEG WARMERS!!!
...ADORABLE...
She loves to do her "TA DA" hands!!!
Hadlee's audience a couple of weeks ago
included LOGAN, Grandmother,
Daddy & Walker!
She was SOOOOOO excited!!!
Mamaw & Aunt Lynna have also come!
She always walks on her "tippy toes" on the beam.
She does kicks, bunny hops, side walking,
& backwards walking on the low & high beam!

This was Wednesday night. Haddie Girl is really learning so much!!! I'm not sure if the beam or the bars are her favorite! She really loves it all!

Having such a sweet teacher helps A LOT! We love Brittney...or should I say "Miss Bitttney"!

"Would YOU like to come and watch me at 'mamastics?!? You can come tomorrrdow and we can eat at Chiffila afterwards!"

Haddie Girl...we are so proud of you! What a little superstar you are!!! I hope you always embrace life to the fullest and love the things you do! You are a pure delight and you make my days so happy and fun!!!

Love...Mommy

P.S. ~ I hope that you don't get my crazy hyperextended arms and my lack of any gymnastic ability!!!

Macy is 19!!!

Today is my beautiful niece's 19th birthday. Ouch! Typing the '19' really hurts!!! I was a freshman in high school when this little lady entered my life. She was born exactly one year and one month after my first nephew, Travis. When my oldest sister was pregnant with him, I wanted nothing but a GIRL. Then when he came, I realized there was nothing sweeter in this world than a little baby boy. I vividly remember standing in Macy's nursery about a week before she was born. I just didn't know how I could love another like I loved Travis...and especially a little girl. I remember patting her little baby bed and I just knew, right then, that this little girl would be special. She would be something.

When Macy made her entrance into the world on February 5th nineteen years ago, I knew it all over again. She was perfect. Macy was a beautiful, perfectly proportional 8 pound baby with the most gorgeous skin and she was more alert than any baby I've ever seen. Her eyes were so bright and she just looked at us...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...a new love, it was more love at first sight for me! She was some kind of wonderful!I have written lots about Macy on this blog. She is something else! It has been a blast to be in her life. From dressing her, to her dance recitals, to shopping for school clothes, prom, hurts, celebrations, and of course years and years of basketball. What a dream she is to me! I have a blast with Macy. As I've said before...she's my niece, my daughter, and most of all my friend!I chose the song that is playing because this is "our song". I can remember driving around with little Macy in my car playing this song as loud as it would go! Such wonderful memories and if I had my scanner hooked up, I'd put some of those pictures on here...Macy was the cutest little girl! Hearing this song really takes me back to Macy as a little person. Such a delight! What a lucky person I have been to have sisters who shared their children with me like my sisters have. I am eternally grateful for that. Just yesterday my text from Macy was "I'm about to buy an expensive Ed Hardy purse. Good decision or bad decision?" LOVED it! Of course like any Aunt Trendy Mindy would, I said, "GO FOR IT. YOU DESERVE IT." (Then just to keep things sensible ~ she is in college, gotta teach her right!, I reminded her that today we'd all be giving her birthday money, so it really was a good decision!)My advice to her about the purse is my advice for her today...
GO FOR IT! You deserve it,
Sweet Macy Girl! We will celebrate her birthday next week...
she already had 'plans' for tonight with her friends!
I wouldn't want things any other way for her!
Happy Birthday, Macy Girl!!!
I love you!

The Harlem Globetrotters!!!

Troy and I took Walker to see the
Harlem Globetrotters on Tuesday night!
Troy saw the Globetrotters when he was young.
I had never seen them before.
Miss Priss stayed home with her Mamaw
and they played Little People!
Walker had NO clue what to expect!
(Funny pic of my little man...)
Look who we found in the floor seats?!?
My sistah & her family!!!
The Globetrotters were AWESOME!
I loved hearing their theme song and
seeing them run out!!!This was Walker letting his Daddy know
that he REEEEEEALLY wanted a BALL!!!
"PLEEEEEEEASE DADDY!"
What a Daddy! Troy went to the "bathroom"
and came back with the famous ball!!!

Walker watched every last bit of the show and he was SO concerned that the Globetrotters were not going to win!!! He cracked us up over that!

Walker's favorite parts were when the guys pulled each others' pants down and when one acted like he 'shared air'?!? Typical little boy!
Walker spent the rest of the night
bouncing that ball...
anywhere & everywhere he could!
Even all the way through the parking lot after the show!!!

I had such a BALL with my two favorite boys!!!

(Kimberly Mo...I love my new earrings! Thank you, my love!!!)

Whether it be the NBA, the Harlem Globetrotters, or riding the bench for Walker...doesn't matter to me!!! As long as he is always having FUN!!!

100 School Days Ago

Walker...
100 School Days Ago, Daddy &
I dropped you off at kindergarten.
I think we all had tears in our eyes.
Today, you can't wait to GET to kindergarten.
(Mommy sometimes still has tears though!).

100 School Days Ago, you fretted over having to
get out of the car by yourself and
walk into the building.
Today, you hop out of the car and be-bop
into that school like the BIGGEST boy EVER!

100 School Days Ago, I fretted and worried all
day long if you'd be thirsty and want your water.
Today, you've never even mentioned being
thirsty at school.

100 School Days Ago, you told us you didn't
want to have to climb the 'WALL' in the gym.
Today, you love to climb the 'WALL'.

100 School Days Ago, you could not read.
Today, you bring home a book every night and
read it to me.

100 School Days Ago, you didn't really
like to do projects that much.
Today, you did your 100 day project with
ease & much enthusiasm...
in fact, your teacher asked YOU to do TWO!!!
100 School Days Ago, I had no idea
how you would behave at school
(since you are a WILD man at home!).
Today you have won four awards at school and
you haven't had your color changed.
YET...I'm sure that will come!

100 School Days Ago, I was proud of you.
Today I am even MORE proud of you!!!
(If that's possible!).
I love you, Walker!!!
Happy 100 Days at School!

Hoodie Bowl 2009

The Hoodie GIRLS begged and pleaded with
the Hoodie MEN to go to one house
to watch the Super Bowl WITHOUT wives & kids.
After much pleading, the men agreed.
YEEEEEAH right!
They ran sprinting out the door!!!

Fine by the girls...we let the kids run wild
and we chatted it up!!!
Of course after we ate...
(we had real food, too!)
Let me re-phrase that...we let the kids
eat first THEN the girls chatted it up while
we ate all night long!!!
The men might want to rethink their actions.
Notice Dylan on the left with a baby doll
stroller & Brady on the right wearing
a pink Dora apron plus
Miss Priss was wearing her
"GIRLS RULE" shirt!!!
These are the little-est Hoodies
and they are such cuties...Nevermind the mess(es) they made,
we had a blast & so did they!!!
The BIG kids...
(Check out Luke! Such the ladies man!)

The guys left so quickly we never even got their pic! Can you believe the guys didn't even laugh when we sent ALL the kids to ring their door bell at the start of the third quarter?!?

I can't help but brag...I live in the BEST Hood EVER with the best girlfriends, kiddos and hubbies!!! EVER! Check out Robin's blog for more fun pics from our night!

Hoodie Bowl '09 was a win/win situation for ALL Hoodies involved!

By the way, who won the Super Bowl?!?
