Registered for Sixth Grade

 Unintentionally but still;)

Last week we registered Walker for SiXTH grade!!!

Last year on this very day I was talking about

 how I couldn't get over the tall black

 Nike socks he was wearing like all the other boys his age.

So many moms told me that soon it would be weird

to see him in "no show" socks and they were right!!!

 These days it's all about Instagramming, playing football,

wanting to be with his friends all the time

(no girls YeT but I think he's noticing them),

and according to him, being the only one

in sixth grade without a phone! ;)

 Will I get used to all of this, too?

Probably so!

Love these two sixth grade guys!!!

AND their sweet siblings!

 For sixth grade, he chose CHOIR!

I'm thrilled over it.

He also qualified for advanced math...

like father like son!

His teachers seem super sweet

and awesome!!!

I love this kind hearted,

reserved yet crazy, funny,

so much like his daddy boy with

all my heart and soul! 

 Praying that sixth grade is

an awesome year for him!

Last Splash of the Summer...

Walker was most upset that this would

be his last time having Hfalls PiZZA

until next summer.  This his is

FAVORITE pizza EVeR!!!!!!!!!!

It was a Super Fun Day!!!!!!!!!!

Then of course we had to finish

our afternoon off at 3Spoons!!!

Summer Days ~ Part 8

Kids weren't as thrilled as me...

especially the two guys in the third row!

Walker went to see a the TMNT movie

with a friend and as he was leaving,

Hadlee yelled,

"Bring me back some popcorn!"

I couldn't believe when Walker showed

up that night with a bag of popcorn

for his little sister!!!!!!!!!!!!!

together so it's so worth it!!!

12th birthday a little bit early...

Oh, how I adore this little boy. 

Absolutely, wholeheartedly love

him with every bit of my heart and soul.

He is just some kind of wonderful:)

The other day we were standing in line

at Kohls.  All of the sudden he looks up

at me and says, "Will you marry me?

I have a ring for you at home."

As I bent down to love on him

(and tell him YeS!), the ladies behind

me allllllllllll melted.

One lady said, "I have the chills!!!"

It was too cute.

I texted Troy that a guy

had asked me to marry him in

line at a store and he immediately

texted back:  "Hudson"!!!!!!!!!

He's my little sidekick...

this particular day he got 'tatted' up on his arm;)

then he helped me bake Uncle Ron a cake. 

He's tough, yet sensitive;)

He calls Hadlee his "cute little apple"

and he tackles Bubba like he's

been playing football for years;)

He loves Walker and Hadlee so much...

and the feelings are MoRE than mutual. 

Somehow we've done one thing right:

our kids absolutely adore each other.

He heard us laughing over my mother's

use of "LOL" so much in her new

texting adventures, and he started to say it.

One day he was pretending to text me

and as he was typing, instead of LOL,

he said, "LMNOP"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

 

School Clothes Shopping!!!

It's official. 

I have me a shopper.

A darling, hilarious, selfie-lovin',

crazy for her likes shopping little girl. 

Don't be mistaken...

this girl is ALL about her when we

are shopping and ALL about her

likes ~ not mommy's! 

She's about as sweet as a little girl

could be...except when she's shopping;)

Poor Huds is clinging to mama

on this particular shopping adventure!!!

For this round of school clothes shopping,

Hadlee had TWO very defined interests:

fun t-shirts with cute leggings

OR

adorable dresses:)))

There was NoTHiNG

in between her spectrum of likes!

But she can pull off either

sooooo perfectly!

As far as shoes, the more the merrier;)

Since she's a rule follower and the teachers

prefer tennis shoes...that's what this girl

wants.  All colors of Converse with a

fun pair of Nikes thrown in;)

AND of course she had to have a new

Vera Bradley lunch box...but,

Mommy said her Vera Bradley backpack

from last year was just fine:)

Walker calls it "Dear Bradley" and

 that cracks us UP!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of Walker, he was pretty

much happy with anything I brought

home for him...shorts and t-shirts.

Notice I said that I "brought home".

In other words, he wanted nothing to

do with shopping EXCEPT when it

came to his new tennis shoes.

He got two new pairs and he

was ALL about that, but nothing else.

Yep, all about those size 11 men's shoes;)

I couldn't love my shopper

and my non-shopper more,

but I better start saving more money!!!;)
