Build it and he will come...

...hopefully in that order!!!

Our fourth bedroom has been Troy's
beloved Aggie room/office.
Yes, it has maroon walls, deer heads...
just all things man.
And I mean manly man.

Since my computer (and junk!)
occupy the real office in the house,
we decided to build a detached garage/
office for T-dawg so Baby Boy Love
could have his own room!
Yes, indeed, the maroon walls will
be baby blue VERY SOON!!!
I can't wait because I've had this bedding
since before I even knew he was a BOY!This is the drive leading to our garage. The new
garage/office is going where the double gate is.
That was where Troy was always going to park
a boat. He's getting a baby instead and,
thankfully, he couldn't be happier about that.
(now anyways!).
This job was going to be Louis and
Troy's project...they had big plans to
work on certain aspects of it together.
Makes us very sad.
LV and Troy were a great team!
Walker has said many times since construction
began that he'd rather a dirt pile than a pool or
a new garage/office. We should get him his
very own dirt and rock pile for Christmas.
His best buddies like it, too!Hadlee didn't get into the dirt pile too much...
but she certainly loves her STAGE!!! Walker & this buddy thought it was the perfect skateboarding ramp. Me, not so much!Walker can't wait to get home from school every day to play on the dirt pile. He gets out of the car and goes straight to it. He could play there for hours on end. Such a boy!!!

All the while, Sweet Thing entertains Mommy performing on the stage...

Construction really took off this week...
when Hadlee saw it, the very first thing
she said was, "They messed up my stage!"

The other funny comment from Haddie was one morning when we went to look at the workers hard at work, she said, "They are 'peakin 'panish!" I didn't even know she knew what Spanish was!

From the beginning Troy has made it
clear to Walker that this would be the 'boys'
spot ~ a place to hang out and work on things.
Walker is so excited about this and I have to
get on to him for telling Hadlee things like
'you won't have the special code to get in'!!!
Monday will mark 32 weeks so this mama
is SO excited that this is well-underway!!!Troy drew the plans and I think it
is going to be PERFECT!
I keep telling Troy that it will be so nice
for him to escape two kids arguing and
a baby screaming. For some reason,
he isn't falling for that though!!!This is the door into the office...

This was in Walker's folder from school. I absolutely LOVE it!

Let me translate for you...

"My mom is having a baby and my dad is getting an office and the workers speak Spanish and they have poured the concrete in."

Baby Brother Love...

We love you so much already! Sometimes I don't think I can make it nine more weeks for you to get here. Then, I look outside and I start praying that you DON'T get her before this is built. Daddy is working so hard to get everything finished before your arrival. He is gladly giving you his Aggie room. This was a HUGE step for Daddy! The outside construction must be finished before we can fully complete your new room. Your big brother is going to be a little disappointed when the new construction is finished, but that does NOT mean he doesn't love YOU a whole bunch!!! Being a boy yourself, you'll understand how much fun dirt and rocks are soon enough. Your little sister still wishes that you could share a room with her. I think you are going to like your big brother and big sister just fine. I also want you to always know how hard your Daddy worked for you! You'll like your baby blue walls, too. And someday you'll probably want them maroon again. I know how you Pierce boys are!

You are LOVED!!!

At "Sham Poo's"

Last month, we made a quick trip to visit
Troy's grandparents. We spent most of our
time at Troy's sister's house...
we call her Aunt Poo, but for some odd reason
Hadlee calls her house "Sham Poo's"!!!
Aunt Poo loves to spoil my kids!
She has a beautiful yard and we enjoyed
some gorgeous weather while we were there...

Troy was being a little paparazzi like...catching this private moment between Baby Love and me! He is still such a wild thing in my tummy and I am treasuring every last kick of this pregnancy! Not one toy needed around here...Granny had just been released from the hospital. It was so good to see her...

We also celebrated 28 weeks of Baby Love...

Celebrated Sweet, Sweet Baby Love I should say!
(I'm now at 31 weeks and GRoWInG!!!)
And finally, there are always lots of little cousins
who come around "Sham Poo's"
whom we love to play with and see!!!

We LoVE "Sham Poo" and Uncle James!!!

Where the Wild Things WERE

One day last month, Walker was SO EXCITED
because he finally got the chance to check
THIS book out from the school library...It just so happened that the movie theater
version of the book was coming out
that very Friday!
So, Walker had some BIG plans to make...

For way over an hour, Walker sat at the kitchen table making a list of who all he was inviting to the movie with him. Then he created a seating chart AND a list of good rules as well as bad rules. I was mesmerized by his planning, thought and of course the "blue prints". He informed me that he would need a cake. I reminded him that it wasn't his birthday party, but he told me it was "still a celebration"!!!

All the while, I thought he knew this was all for pretend?!?Come to find out (through a hilarious call from his teacher the next day!), Walker was quite serious about these plans AND his guest list. So much so that he invited his entire class to come on Friday with us to the movie!!! Some of the students even asked the teacher if they needed a permission slip from their parents to go. OH MY...this kid and his imagination!!!
After some mommy modifications to his movie blueprints, we told Walker he could invite one friend from his class and Hadlee got to have Kate Kate join her!

How cute is this couple in their 'school' shirts!?!
I LOVE THIS PICTURE!

Unfortunately, the movie was AWFUL!!!
I'm talking TERRIBLE...
we couldn't believe it.
Hadlee still mentions how bad
it was every single time we pass the theater!T-dawg was not happy with me either!
I guess next time I need to research
our movies a little better...
but come on, the book is cute!Regardless, we had a FUN time with two
sweet friends on a Friday night!!!Besides, I don't need to know where the wild things are because they are most always WITH ME!!!

A Snuggie for my 70 Year Old Dad

November 8th was my Dad's 70th Birthday!
So, we had to CeLEbrATE in a BiG way...
My mom made her delicious chicken
spaghetti and we had pizza for the kids.
But what has happened?!?
I, the baby of the family, used to be at the "kid" table...We had the best time celebrating our
one and only, one of a kind Dad/PaPa!!!
Six grandkids and one on the way!
I'm thinking a perfect seven for my parents!!!

We laughed because we told him to sit in this chair for pictures (not his favorite past time). Then we started joking that it looked like he was in a wheel chair for all the pictures!!! hee hee!Dad never lets anyone forget that he married an older woman. My mother just turned 71!"DAD"...(The only way Troy refers to him!)We sat in the living room for the longest just visiting...nothing better than that!I love thinking about how much Macy loves her little brother. I hope that's how Hadlee will be to Baby Cosmo Love...

Then it was time to sing and celebrate!!!Helper Haddie with the gifts...she was the only "kid" who stuck around for gift time!!! She loves her PaPa!My dad is THE hardest person to buy for...he really has no wants. We mainly give him gift cards. He will never tell us anything that he wants. In his older age, though, we've noticed that he gets rather cold... so we got him a SNUGGIE!!!It was quite the hit with everyone!!!
I searched high and low for a Baylor one,
but Baylor hasn't made the Snuggie list just yet!To all of our surprise, we had a
Snuggie model appear out of nowhere...But then we thought he was a monk
and he tried to bless my sister...We quickly realized that was NOT the case,
so he decided it was time for
Dad to get a hair cut...Oh, the many uses of the Snuggie
(and my hilarious husband!)!I doubt we'll ever see my dad in the
Snuggie again, but boy did it provide
some entertainment!!!There is nothing like the comfort of
your family and I love being reminded of that. There is also nothing like the love
that my dad has ALWAYS shown me!!!Happy 70th Birthday, Dad/PaPa!
We love you!!!
