Redneck Hoodie Baby Shower

So, you've heard me brag talk A LOT
about my Hoodies. Well, our next door neighbor
Hoodies turned up preggers with
Baby #3 due in March.
Soooooooo, the Hoodies decided to do a
little couples shower, but we needed a theme.
Rewind to a few Halloweens ago, when
above said next door neighborhoodies
showed up as Redneck Earl and Earlene
to the Hoodie Halloween party.
Mind you, Elizabeth was preggers with #2
at the time. They were hilarious as
these alter egos...I mean reeeeally funny...
mullet and all!!!
Don't dare show up at a Hoodie
Party like that and expect to get
away with it!!!

You guessed it...it was time for a
REDNECK BABY SHOWER!!!

Nothin' but a Boone's vase for this shower!!!

How do you like the feed sacks pictured above on the Guests of Honor chairs?!? We even had empty beer bottles on the table. Nothing was too good for this shower!

The cake...
yep, that was Earl and Earlene back in the day!!!
We wrapped up all of the gifts in Wal-Mart sacks and even a beer box!!! Okay, so Robin was our gift wrapper extraordinaire. I'm not sure what she charges if you are interested. We spared no expense for Earl,
Earlene and Baby Earl.
Robin, who is our hostess with the mostess,
had these pics blown up and put them on
cardboard. Yep, that's T-dawg out in the
Hood with Elizabeth one evening.
His shirt said "Basketball"! Meet the Guests of Honor who had
NO CLUE that we had a theme
(although they had their fears!!!).
If only you knew David & Elizabeth...
you couldn't find two kinder people
in this world! That's what made
hosting this shower all the more fun!!!
Hoodie Men...some even came dressed
for the theme!!! Or maybe they always
dress like that?!? Ladies of the Hood...
I love these girls. Like. Crazy. These two were such great sports
and loved the theme... Even when David opened up the first gift...David Earl, we are so glad YOU GOT ER DONE!!! This cutie number was wrapped in the
Bud Light box!!! I sure hope their little guy
never wants to see pictures from his baby shower!!!No fear...Hoodies aren't all THAT bad!
We got everything Elizabeth wanted on her

registry from our favorite store Carol & Co!!! If you are a Wacoan reading this, please don't tell Carol how we packaged
her beautiful items!!!In what I thought to be true Redneck fashion,
David and Elizabeth showed up at THEIR own
shower with THEIR own game for us to play!
LOVED. IT.
Guess who won?!?No. Lie. This was the prize...
HUH LER EEEE US!!!
Troy wasn't quite this sympathetic
during my pregnancies. I'm glad he can
be this way for my Hoodie, Elizabeth!!!That's my good ole boy. I love him.
The Hoodies LOVE love LOVE
David, Elizabeth, Jillian, Dylan and Baby #3!
We can't wait for the new kid in da hood!!!In all seriousness, this couple is one in a million.
Truly an amazing wife, hubby and parents.
I can totally remember peaking out of what
is now Walker's room seeing a white car pull
up at the house being built next door to ours.
Troy and I said things like, "Oh they're young!
They're cute! Oh my Goodness, they will
be our new B/F/F's!!!"
Little did we know how right we were.
We've experienced new homes, having children
and much more with this couple.
We've been blessed beyond words by them.
Much love and prayers to you guys
during this time!!!
Can't wait to love on that new little guy!

More about my PLAY-ya

Glad you guys liked the video!
Speaking of my little b-ball play-ya...
I thought I'd post pics from his last
game on Friday night with the
Maroon Vipers and also post his season stats.
Walker had a great season!!!
Here are his stats:
*Average of 2 points per game.
*One smack right on his face from a rebound.
*AWESOME defense on both ends of the court.
*Always tried to be first back down the court.
*Had a blast every game!
He really did have a good time and he
was so bummed that this was the last game.
Since I video taped the game, I forgot to
bring my camera!!! Luckily my mother
had hers, but UNluckily I was not using it correctly!
I text messaged both of my sisters at 3:30 on
Friday telling them about the game at 6:30.
I had forgotten to tell them earlier.
Look who still showed up...gotta love my sistahs!
They love my kids like I love their kids!!!Logan is Haddie & Walker's hero!!!The biggest basketball fans I know...
PaPa & Grandmother!!!
(Troy had to 'shoooo' my mom off the
court before the game. She was trying
to give Walker some pointers!!!).I have no clue what was up with
my mom's camera & why it did this to our
two family picture attempts...

OH well,

WALKER...

YOU ARE OUR STAR!!!
On and off the Court!

Snap It!

I have no idea if this will be as funny to anyone else as it is to Troy and me. Oh, by the way, it's my first video to ever post. I could possibly get a call from the Globetrotters if they see this! ha!

Walker was bouncing his ball in the house (a usual occurrence!) while listening to his Shuffle. I decided I'd try to use the video feature on my little camera. Walker thought I was taking his picture...not videoing him! He kept posing and saying 'SNAP IT'!!! Be sure to turn down the volume on my blog if you want to watch. Enjoy...this kid makes me laugh like this every single day!

I am in Love...

...with our Saturday!!!

1. The world famous grilled cheese sandwiches
we just ate for lunch.

2. My clean house.

3. The pj's we are all still wearing.

4. My husband who is at the store for me.

5. The fact that we have nothing that
we HAVE to do this weekend!!!

This is dreamy.
I might even take a nap later.

Happy Birthday Down Under

Happy Birthday, Beautiful Bestie!!!
I mentioned that I went to Houston last week
to say good-bye to my dear friend, Kimberly.
She, her hubby, and their baby girl Chloe
moved to Australia...on Monday.
WOOOOOOOOO nellie.
The Na Na's are going WORLD WIDE!!!
Three of the Texas Na Na's were able to
attend Kimberly's going-away party in Houston.
As always, it was SO fun to be together!
YOU.HAVE.NO.IDEA.
"Wherever three or more Na Na's are together..."

My travelling companion & partner in crime Brandy...

I am not a beer drinker, in fact, I detest beer...but, I found this 'WoodChuck' beer at Kim's party. Being that Kimberly, Megan and Brandy lived in the WOOD SHED for two years during college, I couldn't resist this pic with one of the Wood Chucks!!!

In true Na Na fashion, we also had to give Kimberly a very hard time about her old fashion cell phone!!! hee hee! Seriously, what did I ever do without my Iphone?!? How about this...with one touch, I know exactly what time it is in Perth, Australia.

Kimberly & Marc are an awesome couple and I know they are going to have the adventure of a lifetime for the next five years that they are Down Under. But CRIKEY, am I going to miss my Kimberly Mo and my Chloe Bo!!!Speaking of Chloe, Auntie Mindy couldn't resist bringing her a little somethin' somethin'...

I just thought that every Aussie little girl needs a Bindi doll to love!!!

Is she not the most adorable little munchkin?!? Nine sweet months of pure love on this earth!Obviously I couldn't quite get enough love from the little angel. Of course Kimberly will make visits home, but the first one won't be for a long time. I had to confess to Kim that it was much harder to say bye to Chloe because, let's face it, she'll reeeeeally have changed a lot next time I see her. That breaks a Na Na Auntie's heart.

Kimberly got the last laugh though!
On Monday, I found THIS in my mailbox...
Meet BEBO.
My dear friend from high school, Brett,
gave Bebo to me while Kim and I were roommates
at Baylor. He is scary & he squeaks. Since 1995,
Kimberly and I have sent him back & forth as
neither of us wants Bebo in our lives.
When we shared a hut in Mexico two
years ago, Bebo went back and forth in each
of our suit cases SEVERAL times. He's just that
sneaky and funny. Apparently, Bebo's
passport didn't make it in time for Kim's move.
Needless to say, I am applying for his
passport immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All kidding aside, Kimberly and I have an
unspoken friendship. She is kind and beautiful
and so fun! I will miss knowing that she is
in Texas VERY, VERY much. I will also
miss our jaunts here and there to see each other.
I have no doubts, though, that time
nor distance will keep us apart.
