Dad Days ~ October 2016

Quite hard to believe that we were coming
up on one full year of Dad being
at Wesley Woods and pretty much
not being the same man he was
whatsoever:(
Also one full year of my mother,
sisters and I making sure we were
there for Dad EVERY SINGLE DAY
without fail and loving on as many
patients as we possibly could
each and every day.
Same routine day after day...
staff gets him up, feeds him breakfast,
wheel him to some form of an
activity for him to maybe watch
or just to the table,
one of us arrives, feed him lunch,
staff puts him in his chair
that the Moores so graciously shared
with us, he naps, staff gets him
up, we come back, feed him dinner,
sit/visit/watch the zoo;),
staff puts him to bed,
lay out clothes for the staff to
put on him the next day
and kiss him goodnight.
(He's completely dependent on
others for EVERYTHING.)
He had another fall:(
Loved this man!
Dad doesn't smile much
and he rarely speaks.
What I would give for one of his
long stories.  Oh the things we
take for granted...
A "smile"!!!!!!!!
About to give THE LOOK!
Sometimes he looks so good
and normal.  Such a cruel disease.
Visiting on Halloween!!!!!!
He sometimes lights up at the sight
of the kids...but really doesn't remember
them which is so, so sad.
He's still my dad and I still
love him no matter what!❤
NOBODY tends to him like
Grandmother.  WOW, just WOW.
She's a testament to true love❤
