Come to find out, the Fourth Grade Finale (a
talent show!) is a HUGE deal at South
Bosque Elementary!!! The students
get really hyped up over this:)
And Walker was no exception!!!
As soon as Mrs. Flowers, their music teacher,
told them it was coming up and to start
getting ready for it...Walker's group
began to form. And it grew and grew!
Everyday he would come home and tell me
a new person had joined! ha!
At first they were going to do a little
baseball skit, but then there were too many
guys to all have speaking parts;(
THANKFULLY, one of the boys' moms
just happens to be a friend of mine who
works with the dance team at the high school.
She totally and completely hooked us up...
with a place to practice, a ROUTINE,
and music!!! She is the bomb.com!!!
I was one of the after school drivers;)
You would assume these guys are covering
their noses for obvious "boy" reasons...but nahhhhhh,
they were covering their noses because
Hadlee had taken off her TOMS!!! ha ha ha ha!!!
At our first "rehearsal" before we were
set on what we were doing, all the guys
but ONE decided they wanted to dress up
like Midway cheerleaders and dance.
Guess who that ONE kid was?
Walker D. Pierce!!!!!
Plus us moms didn't think the
dressing up as girls would be a great
Regardless, I got some good blackmail
for future use!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After several votes and many different ideas,
we came up with something. Walker was SET
on a baseball theme...and other boys had
their own ideas, too. We finally came up
with an awesome idea and Lori ran with it!!!
Gotta love seeing these guys with their PomPoms!!!
They managed to keep the
"baseball" theme in the program...
PLUS the fun summer theme!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was amazed at Lori's creativity and her
patience teaching these seven TEN year old boys!
Hudson wanted to be in the group, too! ;)
Lounging Littles Luke & Hadlee!!!
Then we practiced on a stage!!!
This was for their "try-out" video!!!
We e-mailed Mrs. Flowers their video
and she e-mailed right back that they
had made it! She loved it!!!
Another rehearsal...on another stage!
Lori was a rockstar!!! We moms all
spoiled her for all of her help and talent!!!
Practice Makes Perfect....We hoped! ;)
Ready to roll in his new suit
(size 14-16 I might add!!!)
and swim shirt!
"Let's Do This"
Walker would say that
every single time they finished!!! ;)
