Every Bit of Baseball

It never gets old watching my

favorite ball player at bat!!!

This year he is #1 in the line-up

which is SO cool but yet makes his mama

nervous!!!  His hitting often seemed to set the

tone of the game ~ how well he hit, whether he

hit, etc.  Plus, I could never be late at

all to his games or I could miss him hitting!  ha ha!

Walker's best position is probably 2nd base (and

his favorite) but this year he has played a lot of

3rd base (because he can get the ball to 1st from

there), and even some at 1st base and a lot

in the outfield when we are playing big hitting

teams because Walker is awesome at catching

fly balls AND he's quick. BUT he has been

working a little bit with a professional coach

on learning to PITCH!!!!!!

He concentrates so hard and takes

this game SO seriously!!!

Another Saturday.

Another Game.

Another talk with Coach Dad;)

But this time it was a TRIPLE!

An awesome triple...

and I think the 3rd base coach

should have sent him on home.

(I had a talk with that coach...my husband!).

After that game and a fun team lunch out,

 we loaded up these four boys

+ our little boy + our sweet girl

in my car and all went to a Midway Varsity Game!

...and one very sweet & precious little girl!!!

It was little league day and the boys

got to go in the high school practice

gym and throw timed pitches!!!

Walker wanted to do this all day long!

It's so funny how popular Hudson is!

All the boys wanted to give him a turn!!!

Precious Pie was the Perfect Cheerleader!!!

And the boys gave her a turn, too!!!

Then it was on to the wuffle ball station...

you won a shirt if you hit a homerun!

Walker was first to win a shirt :)

Then it came down to about five boys

trying to win the last two shirts...

Hudson thought he was playing,

but he really wasn't!  ;)

and when the guy in charge reached in

for the shirts, there was one extra!!!  WAHOOOO!

FOUR happy Phillies!

(and one relieved mama!)

It was a great day & game!

Looks like fun to have an older brother!  ;)

I don't know what to think about Hadlee

and her older brothers' friends though!!!  ;(

When we first arrived at the game

there was a place for the boys to put their

names in for a drawing for a Ranger game.

Sweet Hadlee looked up and asked if

she could put her name down, too?!?

The announcer called out the winner

half way through the game.

GUESS WHO WON the tickets?!?

Miss Hadlee Pierce!!!!!!!!!

She was so excited and the boys

were dying that she had won!  ;)

Four tickets for a June 27th game

against the Tigers.  Mommy & Daddy

were pumped, too!!!  ;)

Baseball Buds!

We are loving every bit of baseball these

days...MOSTLY Walker's games, but

also Midway and the Rangers and other

friends' games.  I am a blinged out baseball

mama and SO happy to be!!!  :)
