Walker's 9th Birthday Party!!!

This mommy LOVES to celebrate her kiddos!!!

Especially my one and only Walker D!:)))

On August 27, 2011,

Walker turned NINE years old!!! 

A Texas Ranger Baseball party was a MUST!!!:)

And Lan Sharx HAD to be the place:)

My two favorite Texas Ranger fans!!!:)

Lan Sharx is quite the popular

spot for third grade boys;)))

And sweet little one year olds who

love to do exactly what Big Brother is doing!

And of course this little Ranger fan

is just delighted to be at a party...

especially for her Walker!

had to come, too!  YAY for Uncle G!:)

Such sweet and amazing and wonderful

grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins

who couldn't/wouldn't miss Walker's

most special day!!!

Such sweet Hoodies (big and little)

came to celebrate, too...

And SO many BOYS!!!!!!!!

Walker invited about 25 boys

and, well, about 25 showed up!!!!!!!

Even the two new students from his class

whom he gave invitations to on

the day before!  (With Walker's b-day

always falling the first week of school,

it's hard to know who to invite...

new class, old class, etc!)

Walker and Jared were playing

Rangers vs. Yankees!!!

Little Brother just couldn't hang;(

He pretty much slept the entire party!

I love it that I know all these boys AND

their parents!!!  Great group of kids!:)

I still can't believe my baby is nine years old!!!

She just couldn't resist;)

A cookie cake is a staple at my kids' parties:)

I loved that ALL these people were there

to celebrate MY sweet boy!!!

On the way home, I told him to never

take for granted his friends....

There is something so special
about my Walker D!

He's my wild and crazy man at home...

but elsewhere he is calm and sweet and

gracious, and so well-rounded.

Troy and I could not be more proud

of this young man who is growing up

way too fast.  :(((

Walker is all that I dreamed of my

son to be...kind hearted, mama lover,

handsome, daddy's main bud,

fun, silly, and passionate

about EVERYTHING he loves.

even know about.  Well, I laughed so hard

because as soon as we sang to Walker and

passed out cake the boys all went

straight back to their games...some

with their cake!  It was kind of nice

because we got to watch Walker

open his gifts in peace...

with a sweet certain little helper:)

Dear Lord help us...

Walker begged for a skate board and

we finally gave in to his wish!!!

He raked it in!!!!!!!!!!!!  Like big time crazy!!!

He ended up with $300 after this par-tay!

Mama has to borrow money from Walker;)

We had fun swimming, sliding,

having a shrimp boil and celebrating

two sweet NINE year old boys!!!

Exactly 7:31 in the evening...

...which exactly NINE years earlier happened

 to be the most wonderful, most profound,

 most amazing moment of my life. 

That was when this sweet,

 healthy, perfectly plump

8 pound 13 ounce baby boy was born

and made me a MOTHER.

Walker, you are some kind of wonderful!!!

There is a spark in you, a passion, a

spirit that is contagious and lovable. 

You make me so proud with your

kindness to others, your good

behavior (except at home with me!  ha!),

your diligence in your school work

and in sports, your love of fun and friends

and life in general.............

and, most of all, the way you always

say at night, "Pray, Mommy, Pray"

I love praying with and for you.

You are such a blessing

and you will forever be my one

AND only Walker D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
