Golf Tournament

Therefore, since we are surrounded
by such a great cloud of witnesses,

Lynna's amazing and dear friend Lori

an AWESOME golf tournament in honor

of Travis!!!  People are SO good at

 heart.  This took so much work

and it was so professional...

Even Walker made the pamphlet;)

 

Not only did the Atwells do

so much to put this together but amazing

people like Melanie Massey as in Mo Joy

donated these incredible red

 Aren't they awesome?!?

Just.like.Mo!!!

Someday we hope to get Travis to HER!:)))

 So many others donated money, sponorships,

time and gifts for today and then some were

just there.  Simply amazing.

Hamburger lunch to kick things off...

One team of golfers were some of Troy's friends

from work.  We were so grateful to them

for participating...

Troy hasn't played golf in YEARS,

but he couldn't resist doing this for

his nephew (and he had some pressure
from my uncle and cousin!)!!! 
I love my go get 'em man!!!;)

It was such a beautiful day...

with so much goodness surrounding it! :)

Lori's pastor who participated in the tournament

said the most amazing prayer. 

This man lost his own daughter in an

accident not very long ago.

Troy played on my Uncle Ron's team with him

and my two cousins (who are the closest things

I have to brothers) Patric and Mical...

Dear, sweet Lori...

The man in the middle just participated

because it was for a benefit.

We all thought we knew him

and he felt he knew us....

come to find out he was one of the chaplains

at Hillcrest who helped us during the

days we were there. 

These guys were friends of Lynna's from high

school.  They came from out of town
 to participate.  They hadn't seen Lynna in years.

We cherished every single

aspect of this beautiful day...

We are so thankful that Travis

is still with us.

So very, VERY thankful.

Look at Hunter B way off in the background...

he was turning around cheesing it

up because he knew I was taking a picture:)))

He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.

like he is their very own nephew.

It simply amazes me...they both

come to this with different hearts and

they both AMAZE me.

the entire afternoon with Travis.

brother who recently had a stroke,

Troy who hadn't played in years,

and his 70 year old dad!!!

Troy and Patric had a blast together that day.

Patric, God bless his heart, every single

time I see him he says that what has happened

to Travis is the saddest thing he's ever

experienced in his life.  He always tells me

how this should have happened to him,
not Travis.  It is difficult not to ask, "Why?"
from time to time.  "Why, Travis?"
