Awards Assembly for our
HANDSOME
8th Grader!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So handsome!!!!!!
So for the 8th grade awards assembly,
only certain students get an invitation.
This means that they have Perfect Attendance,
they were chosen for Panther Pride
or they are in the Top 10% of the Core Classes.
We had NO idea what Walker would get.
He actually had perfect attendance until the
very end of school when I pulled him out
one day 8th period to leave early
(on my account!).
My bad!!! I didn't know there was an award.
He should have received it.
So, all year Walker has been telling
us that he's like really smart.
Of course we KNEW he was smart.
His grades, his intellect, his drive...
it's obvious, but we had no
idea how he compared with others
in his class.

We had been told that usually
the kids will get Top 10% in
one or two core classes.
Well, Well, Well...
imagine our surprise and honor,
when Walker was awarded
Top 10% in ALL of his Core Classes!!!
He received awards for the following:
A Honor Roll
Top 10% Algebra
Top 10% Pre AP History
Top 10% Pre AP Science
Top 10% Pre AP English
WOW. Just WOW!!!!!!!
We should have been listening when he
was telling us!!! ha ha!
I was told he was one of about 10 who
got Top 10% in all of his classes
(would have been in Spanish, too,
if that was a core class). I was
told he is one of the
TOP TEN STUDENTS
in his class of about 600. WOW!!!!!!!!!!
We had to be the most proud parents
at Midway Middle School that day!!!!

They are sweet, they are fun,
they are adorable
and they are both SMART!!!!!

And just like that he had changed
out of his nice clothes of course;)
What an AWESOME way to end 8th grade
and to charge into high school!
Walker, your drive in academics amazes
me. You value your intellect and your learning.
You really are so smart. This, with your
kindness and humility, will carry
you throughout life. Smart is so cool!!!
Keep at it!!!
Your dad and I are prouder than we
could EVER explain in words.
