This year Walker was one of 18 eleven
year old boys to make the majors!
We are so proud of him and so pumped...
especially since his team is the Rangers!:)
It's a new and very different experience ~
this is some serious baseball!
EVERYONE on the team is really, really good
and the majority of the boys
are twelve years old. Walkman is
hanging tough and LOVING this
new experience!!!!!!!!
His first at bat at his first game,
he got an RBI!!!!!!!!!!!
Two boys on his team hit the ball
OVER the fence during our first game!!!!
It was cool seeing the whole team come
out to celebrate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously SO Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!
One thing I love so much about
Walker and he's always been this way...
is that he was probably just about
as excited as the kid who had hit
the ball over the fence was!!!
Walker just has that spirit in him...
he's happy for others!!!!!!!!
And wahoooooooooo......one of
his coaches this year is really HOT!;)
I may end up hookin' up with the coach;)
Walker got to decide his number
out of a few choices. He chose #2 this year...
which I thought was random...until
Walker hung up the phone and said,
"Hey, it's Johnny Football's number!"
Always thinkin' like an Aggie...
or a Texas Ranger!!!!!!!!
We literally spent most of the day
at the ball park!!! It was a beautiful
day and we had a blast
(even though Walker's team lost by two points).
Jersi & Annie Claire had their first games, too...
Jersi's sister, Presli, hung out with us
and Huds started making the moves on HeR!!!;)
Presli is precious and she is in Walker's class!
I asked them for a quick picture together
and I had never seen two kids go in
the opposite direction quicker!!!
I secretly took these though;)
It was like they reverted back to
parallel play;) They are sweet!!!
If Walker were to "like" a girl right now,
I think it would be Presli ~
he's saving Kate for marriage of course!!!
But he'd NEVER admit to liking a girl
right now regardless!!!!!!!!!!!
