Walker...
100 School Days Ago, Daddy &
100 School Days Ago, Daddy &
I dropped you off at kindergarten.
I think we all had tears in our eyes.
Today, you can't wait to GET to kindergarten.
(Mommy sometimes still has tears though!).
100 School Days Ago, you fretted over having to
get out of the car by yourself and
walk into the building.
Today, you hop out of the car and be-bop
into that school like the BIGGEST boy EVER!
100 School Days Ago, I fretted and worried all
day long if you'd be thirsty and want your water.
Today, you've never even mentioned being
thirsty at school.
100 School Days Ago, you told us you didn't
want to have to climb the 'WALL' in the gym.
Today, you love to climb the 'WALL'.
100 School Days Ago, you could not read.
Today, you bring home a book every night and
read it to me.
100 School Days Ago, you didn't really
like to do projects that much.
Today, you did your 100 day project with
ease & much enthusiasm...
in fact, your teacher asked YOU to do TWO!!!
100 School Days Ago, I had no idea
how you would behave at school
(since you are a WILD man at home!).
Today you have won four awards at school and
you haven't had your color changed.
Today you have won four awards at school and
you haven't had your color changed.
YET...I'm sure that will come!
100 School Days Ago, I was proud of you.
Today I am even MORE proud of you!!!
(If that's possible!).
I love you, Walker!!!
Happy 100 Days at School!
