OH my...I have so much to blog about from this weekend, but I just don't have it in me tonight!!! I'll give some snippets and then post in detail later on this week (of course I took way too many pictures!). We started off the weekend with some Western Day fun...
Oh, one additional Walkerism. Tonight before Walker went to bed, he told me that the cheerleaders came to his school and taught them a cheer for the Friday night football game. He tells me the cheer and then proceeds to tell me that some of the cheerleaders were "GOOD LOOKING"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excuse me?!? I about fell off the bed!!!
Yes, indeedy, a Daddy's Girl mum for Hadlee & a garter for Walker. Now look closely at the pictures I took before we left the house to attend the game...
Notice what is NOT on either child?!? Yes, mommy's dreams can be dashed in an instant by a strong willed two year old little girl and a six year old boy who doesn't dare wear a flower.
AND then, drumroll please...the Hoodies and I totally & completely surprised Troy for his 40th birthday which is on October 19th. We got him so good!!! The Hoodies did so much and made this "the best birthday party EVER" for Troy. My stomach and face still hurt from laughing so hard last night. We have the most amazing friends and we ALWAYS have the best time...especially when celebrating a 40th birthday!!! It was a riot and I'll have to see what, (if any!), pics I can post from the big night!!! I'll leave you with these two for starters...
My Vintage 1968 man in all of his glory last night!
What a WEEKEND!!!
Loved every single second of it and I am so very thankful for times like these!!!!!!!
What a great post! Looking forward to reading more in future postings. Sounds like your weekend was a blast!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a FUN time! Yes, I can't wait to see what pictures you post. haha! I KNOW there were some funny ones!! We had a blast and so glad Tdawg had a wonderful early birthday surprise. I cannot believe we pulled it off! By the way, how is Mrs. F doing? haha. I will forward you my pictures soon. (when you get that virus fixed!)
ReplyDeleteI figured you were having a fun filled weekend when I didn't see any posts from you. I missed ya! I'm glad it was fun and eventful for you all and you were able to pull of Troy's Big 4-0! He doesn't even look like he could be 40, seriously!
ReplyDeleteYou DID have a busy weekend, girl! We had more fun than EVER!! Wouldn't have missed it for the world! You'd never even know he had any worries at ALL about turning 40. He was the best sport and played it up BIG time! Fuuuuunyyyy!
ReplyDeleteOh yay!!! I'm sorry your computer got a virus but happy to hear from you! When I didn't hear from you I was worried I had overstepped my blogger boundaries with my "We are vain" comments!!! :O)
ReplyDeleteAlthough I am laughing out loud imagining you falling out of bed after Walkers cheerleader comment, you seriously can't be surprised, right! That boy is a ladies man! I LOVE IT! Tell him that those Texas cheerleaders might be "good looking" but they've got nothin' on a couple of Kansas cuties that are just waiting for their Walker man!
I can't wait to hear more about Troy's birthday dinner. Please tell me that I read your post wrong and you did NOT call him vintage at 40!!! You're killing me!
;O)

Thanks for commenting on my blog...feel free to stop by again, anytime! :o)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad he was surprised!!! Looks like a super fun weekend. It was so nice to see you Sat.:)
ReplyDeleteOh yes! We definitely need to set up Hadlee-girl with F! I think Miss Priss could handle an older man for sure! Just think...if one of my girls ended up with Walker, and Hadlee ended up with F, we'd be RELATED...TIMES TWO!!! Oh what FUN we'd have!!! ;O)
